Junior competition

Our junior competition runs during the school year, with competitions held across the touch football season from August to December.

Games are played on Tuesday evenings from 5pm at Stan Payne Oval, Evans Head, with players competing in age-based divisions designed to provide a fun, inclusive and enjoyable experience for all skill levels.

The competition is open to boys and girls across a range of age groups, with a focus on participation, learning the game, developing skills and building friendships within our local community.

Who can play

Our junior competition is open to a range of age groups, with divisions typically including:

  • U8s
  • U10s
  • U12s
  • U14s
  • U16s
  • U18s (where applicable)

Age group availability may vary each season depending on registrations.

No experience is needed to join our junior competition.

Players of all abilities are welcome, and our competition is designed to support learning the game in a fun and inclusive environment.

Registrations for junior players typically open closer to the start of each season.

If registrations are currently open, players can register through our competition system.

Representative opportunities

Junior players may have the opportunity to be selected for representative teams as part of the Evans Head Pirates program.

This provides the chance to participate in regional carnivals and events against other associations, including the annual Jenny Cup series.
