About Evans Head Touch Football
We ARrrr Community
Our story
Touch Football has grown significantly across Australia since the first formal competition was established in South Sydney in 1968. The New South Wales Touch Association followed in 1972, laying the foundation for the sport’s continued growth throughout the state.
Evans Head Touch Football was established in 1994 and has proudly been part of the Northern Eagles Region ever since.
Over the years, our association has continued to grow alongside our community, providing local players with the opportunity to participate in organised competitions in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment.
Celebrating 30 years
This season also saw the return of a structured junior competition, welcoming young players from U8s through to U18s and creating new opportunities for families to enjoy touch football together.
Today, more than 650 participants take part in our competitions each season, with juniors playing on Tuesday evenings and our senior mixed competition held on Thursday evenings.
The Evans Head Pirates
The Pirates represent more than just our colours. They reflect our commitment to community, teamwork and creating opportunities for players to represent Evans Head at regional events and representative competitions.
As our representative program continues to grow, we’re excited to build new pathways for players across all ages.
Looking ahead
Whether you’re stepping onto the field for the first time, returning to the game, volunteering behind the scenes or cheering from the sidelines, we’re proud to be building a club that our whole community can be part of.
